Part II: Audience Analysis
As I mentioned in part one of this series, this step in the communication planning process should happen early to avoid messaging pitfalls (like too much, too little, mis-alignment, etc). It drummed up a lot of excitement around the office, and we’ve had many people ask us to dive deeper in to the content surrounding each individual tip. In fact, the infographic has been so well received that we created some communication planning templates to compliment it. But I recently asked myself, “Why stop there?”
12/2/15: Recently, the American Bar Association Criminal Justice Section held the inaugural first Global White Collar Crime Institute in Shanghai, China. A post by Lucian E. Dervan on the White Collar Crime Prof Blog reviews the keynote address by Deputy Assistant Attorney General Sung-Hee Suh, which focused on some of the most pressing white collar crime issues faced by global organizations. Among the topics was the new DOJ policy about individual accountability and how that may affect any settlement consideration by DOJ.
12/2/15: The US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission enforces anti-discrimination laws. According to its FY 2015 Performance Report, the Commission has been busy, awarding $525 million for victims of discrimination in private, state and local government, and federal workplaces. That might not seem like much when compared to the financial returns in FCPA cases, but the EEOC’s cases illustrate the compliance risks that exist in every company and agency in the country.
