6/15/20: At the end of 2019, Joe Kita wrote an article for AARP in which he notes references a comprehensive report about age discrimination, noting “It concluded that even though 50 years had passed since Congress outlawed the practice, ‘age discrimination remains a significant and costly problem for workers, their families and our economy.’”...

There’s no reason to think that those conclusions have changed significantly in the past six months – or that employers are any less susceptible to the legal ramifications of defying age discrimination requirements. Kita has prepared a well-researched article about age discrimination and its effects on individual workers and employers. It’s an excellent article, and it deserves to be read by employers and employees – not just those older than 50...
