An article by Stacy Bruce for InTouch Manufacturing Services delves into the challenge of ensuring quality when dealing with sub-suppliers. Although the article deals specifically with quality issues, it could just as easily be used by compliance professionals challenged to ensure compliance throughout the supply chain. In particular, Bruce notes quality problems “… made worse by limited communication” and limited oversight for ethical sourcing. In many ways, the risks to product quality mirror the risks to compliance.
