These highly visible companies have spent millions of dollars on compliance programs with carefully crafted Codes...of Conduct and enterprise-wide training programs. So, how did massive misconduct occur? Michael Volkov, writing on the Corruption, Crime and Compliance blog, doesn’t answer the question of how or why any individual company shows deep, dirty cracks. What he does, however, is offer insight into what makes a culture of compliance, how training fits into the big picture, and why a culture of compliance is worth the work. The title of the post is enough to make a CCO shudder: “Does Training + Code of Conduct = Culture of Ethics?”
