Menu11/1/14: In his Conflicts of Interest blog, Jeff Kaplan posted an article drawn from the keynote address given by Marshall Miller from DOJ’s Criminal Division Practicing Law Institute’s Advanced Compliance & Ethics Workshop. Kaplan quotes Miller about a high-level commitment as a principal hallmark of an effect compliance and ethics...program, writing, “When employees truly understand that a company’s leadership is committed to compliance – even when it runs up against profits – only then does a company truly have a successful compliance program.” Kaplan highlights Millers comments and adds his own insights into what makes an effective compliance program.
