"DOJ's Ongoing Investigation into Anticompetitive Conduct"

4/14/15: There may be rumblings that the US Department of Justice has eased up on FCPA enforcement, but the Department has made sure there’s no doubt about its enforcement of anticompetitive laws. The last big hit came against Bosch, the 34th company to have pleaded guilty or agreed to plead...guilty in DOJ’s ongoing investigation into price-fixing and bid-rigging in the auto parts industry. Bosch agreed to pay nearly $2.5 billion in criminal fines for its violation of the US’ Sherman Act. Beyond the 34 companies caught in the ongoing investigation, 29 executives have followed suit in pleading guilty or agreeing to plead guilty – and DOJ makes clear that it is nowhere finished with its investigation.
