9/15/15: A recent report by KPMG gets straight to the point, even in its title, “Anti-Bribery and Corruption: Rising to the Challenge in the Age of Globalization.” Central to dealing with those challenges is managing the risks inherent in the use of third parties. The KPMG report is based on its global...survey of some 659 respondents around the world about the risks and responses related to third-party compliance with international anti-bribery and corruption laws. The report covers 24 pages but is broken down into useful chapters including “Enforcing Compliance” and “Better Controls Needed.” The report provides information about the issues but it also offers insight into the moves compliance officers can take to address those issues.
