"Aiming Higher than the Basics"

5/13/2015: In a recent post on his Conflict of Interest blog, Jeff Kaplan challenges corporate CEOs to “… aim for something higher …” than the basics of a good tone at the top. He points to personal honesty and regular reinforcement about the importance of ethical, law-abiding behaviors. But then, he writes, “An ‘advanced tone...at the top’ should include not only maintaining a culture of honesty but also one of care.” Kaplan’s posts usually trigger some needed thinking. This one is no different.
