US enforcement agencies have tried to use other laws, including the Travel Act and anti-money laundering, according to Jessica Tillipman in a post on The FCPA Blog.  It’s an enforcement nightmare but it may be coming to an end.  According to Tillipman, US legislators recently introduced the Foreign Extortion Prevention Act (FEPA) which “… targets foreign officials who demand or accept bribes in return for fulfilling, neglecting or violating their official duties"...
